ColorCards: Boxed sets of photographic flashcards designed to help develop language. They are a hugely adaptable teaching tool for extending vocabulary skills in all children, both mainstream and special needs. Real objects, people, situations and activities are shown on the photographs to provide you with creative and highly effective visual stimulus materials for language and literacy.

Expressive Verbs

This pack in its simplest use is a valuable set of verbs of varying frequency and syntactical complexity within the context of personal actions. Its deeper value is to develop an understanding and use of gesture semantics, promote augmentative communication and consider social and cultural appropriateness and diversity.

Familiar Verbs

In Context

The second of two sets (the first being Basic Verbs) that will update and replace the bestselling Verbs pack. These 48 cards show images of further frequently used and easily recognised verbs. Associated objects have been added to the images to give an idea of place and to encourage expressive language. Actions shown include empty (bucket), pour (drink), spill (soup) and tie (shoelaces).

Basic Verbs

In Simple Settings

The first of two sets that will replace the current Verbs pack. These 48 cards show clear images of the most frequently used and easily recognisable verbs. Both male and female subjects of a variety of ages demonstrate the actions. Actions shown include carry, dance, eat, jump, run, sleep, wash and yawn.

Verb Tenses

This colourful strip book simplifies the concept of tenses and offers a flexible way of teaching the past, present and future. 20 different verbs are illustrated in a series of original photographs. Half of the verbs are regular and the remaining half is irregular. There is also an equal split between verbs in the singular and plural forms. Prepositions

Illustrates the main prepositions essential to the teaching of basic language. Eight prepositions have been photographed six times in different contexts. The concepts and vocabulary shown relate to common experiences such as a cat on a lap, whilst other cards introduce humour with, for example, a bear queuing at a bus stop.

Odd One Out

Shows groups of objects on a single card. All but one of the objects is from a single category - can your client find the odd one out? Contains three levels of difficulty: Level One has four objects per card; Level Two has five objects and Level Three shows six objects. For example: three different sea animals and a hairbrush; four different cats and a rabbit; five different round sports balls, but the sixth is an oval rugby ball.
